I was lucky enough to be invited to model for the ‘Wedding Styled Shoot’ course at Aspire HQ! As a member of their bespoke year group, I have seen many of the GORGEOUS styled shoots, designed to ensure the photographers learn how to improve on camera technique, composition and communication with clients. But, to actually be on the OTHER side of the camera was a definite step out of my comfort zone! Being one to never turn down a learning opportunity, I gave it a go!
The morning was filled with getting my hair done by Gareth, Aqua The Salon and my make up by Lucy, Lucy Pearson and generally having a giggle! What d’ya think……. ?
Getting out into the court yard with the wonderful dress from Daisy Daisy Bridal was interesting and made me appreciate some of the logistical issues brides can experience when it come to having wedding photos in and around their wedding venue.
The courtyard was filled with treasures and beautiful place settings, supplied by the talented Emma, Tebbey & Co !
Jen and Naomi were on hand to provide inspiration and technical guidance to all delegates.
As the model, I found that I really appreciated and responded to instruction from the photographers. Consistent and encouraging feedback that I was stood in a flattering way and that my facial expression was right, was very reassuring. This gave me real food for thought on the interaction I have with my clients and confirmed that you can NEVER do too much talking. I found that the more Jen and Naomi engaged with me to me, the more relaxed and comfortable I became.
Thank you Aspire team for a fantastic day!
