A beautiful church ceremony followed by an intimate back garden tipi reception – Small Cheshire Wedding Photography

Shannon & Sam were due to get married in April but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they postponed their wedding plans, still wanting to get married in 2020, they wanted a photographer with experience of Small Cheshire Wedding Photography . Eager to get married, they approached their Church in Great Budworth about arranging a small ceremony with family only.

Hours after the couple booked me to shoot their wedding, the government banned wedding receptions from occurring. Luckily on the 15th of August, it was confirmed that the wedding reception could go ahead! What a relief!

It was a slightly drizzly start to the day but by the time confetti was thrown, the skies were clear. We enjoyed wandering along the cobbled paths in Great Budworth, close to the church. So romantic! Enjoy this wonderful small wedding inspiration!

Shannon enjoyed a relaxing morning at home whilst her make up was done by Lucinka and had a stunning updo by her good friend and work colleague Sharron. I fell in love with Alfie, the couple’s little boy. He loved the click of my camera and gave me endless smiles and my heart was bursting! The Tipi was beautifully set up in the garden by Tipi Unique and I was very excited to see the fire pit in full swing! The bridal bouquet was a sophisticated mixture of cream and green by House of Cheshire and I loved it! The church ceremony was held and Great Budworth Church which is nestled in the gorgeous historic village. Face masks, hand gel and the small number of guests was a new wedding experience for me but following the guidelines means that weddings can go on, so I’m all for it!

The guests enjoyed a laid back garden reception with champagne and beer as well as yummy pizzas by The Outback Pizza Company!
