As a wedding photographer, I regularly invite my clients to secret pinterest boards so I can gain insight into their style and wedding photography objectives. I also use pinterest and my own scrap book at home to drive forward my photography style and gain inspiration. Together with my close florist friend Becky of Florae Foray, we noticed that metallics were was starting to pick up pace for 2016/2017 weddings. To me, metallics can be used in any wedding style imaginable, whether it is rustic, royal, vintage or chic. I decided to go down the bohemian route with the intention that this would allow the suppliers to really get creative! Encouraging creative exploration within styled shoots is very important to me and I do not like to micromanage the contributors. I wanted them to go for it, sticking only within the realms of boho metallic, whatever that means to them!
Using a local wedding venue, Blackthorne Marina, Hayley of Dollys Vintage Tea Party set up several boho inspired scenes. A couples wedding table by the water, a vintage wedding picnic in the woods, a frame and tea light instillation and also a photobooth scene.
The Bride wore a beautiful satin and chiffon dress adorned with hand crafted beading from Samantha Roach Bridal, along with wire wrapped quartz crystal earrings. Hair and Make up by Clarissa followed the theme with delicate plaits and soft curls, nude lips and vibrant copper eye shadow. The groom wore a fitted River Island Jacket, white hugo boss shirt, Zara trousers, Cartier belt and Russell and Bromley shoes.
